This summer 6th -12th graders will be able to be creative, express themselves, and tap into their social/ emotional well-being without the pressure of talking or sharing their inner thoughts or feelings in verbal way. More than art... True to SunRaise philosophy: "Life is learning; Learning is Life" and our whole approach to growing as a human being, we value the art of expression. The art projects we will focus on will be individual or group depending on the preference. Creative pieces will remain accessible to work on all summer - no deadlines. A new art element or technique will be introduced each week, however, students can choose to stay on one project all summer or do a project a week. While not officially "Art Therapy", we do see this summer camp as an outlet for expression in healthy ways.
